What KitchenLog does

KitchenLog is a recipe notebook with a cooking diary built in. Write a recipe down once, then log every time you cook it: how it turned out, what you changed and how long it took.

Stays on this phone. No account, no tracking.

Backup and a new phone

There is no account and no cloud sync, so your KitchenLog data lives only on this phone. A backup file is how you keep a copy or move to a new phone.

  1. In KitchenLog, open Settings and tap Export backup. KitchenLog puts all recipes, attempts and photos into one .zip file and opens the share sheet.
  2. Choose where the file goes, for example Files, AirDrop or Mail, and keep it somewhere safe.
  3. On the new phone, install KitchenLog, open Settings, tap Import backup and pick the file.

Importing adds what is missing. Entries already on the phone are kept and nothing is overwritten.

Deleting the app deletes its data. If you want to keep it, tap Export backup first.
